Author Bio
Bridget A. Lyons is a writer, editor, and explorer living with gratitude in Santa Cruz, CA, the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. Her work focuses on the entangled nature of our world, the intrinsic value of all living creatures, and the complexities of human and more-than-human relationships.
A graduate of Harvard University, she holds an MFA from Northern Arizona University and has had previous lives as a wilderness guide, yoga instructor, middle school teacher, energy bar maker, and graphic designer. Her award-winning essays have appeared in Crazyhorse, The Common, Flyway, Chautauqua, Catamaran, Cold Mountain Review, Tahoma Literary Review, and other journals.
When she's not writing, creating art, or helping her clients birth their dream projects, she spends a lot of time surfing and swimming the central coast of California, running and mountain biking in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and trying to perfect versions of her favorite Joni Mitchell and Led Zeppelin songs on guitar.
